Weddings
The Estate of Marriage has God’s blessing and is meant for life. Therefore, the Pastors require a series of premarital counseling sessions and adequate time/pre-planning prior to the wedding date. Salem has a booklet that gives the various details and needs that go in a successful wedding. We are also blessed with a Wedding Coordinator who works with the couple in each stage of their planning and wedding.
When it comes to contacting the pastor and the church office, the old adage, “the sooner the better,” is really true. Six months prior to the wedding is not too far ahead.
Baptisms
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism is a gift from God. It brings to us His forgiveness in the Water and Word, uniting us in Christ Jesus.
We believe Baptism/Forgiveness of Sin is a promise given by God. Therefore when Jesus says: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...,” we baptize infants and adults so they may share in this promise/covenant.
If you have not been baptized or are expecting a child, you may wish to speak to one of the Pastors for further information and dates.
