Bible Studies

Worship on the Way
A Periscope Study, via e-mail, to prepare you for the upcoming Sunday Worship Service. A hard copy is also available on Sunday mornings for the following week.

Weekly Breakfast
Salem has a weekly breakfast each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. After time for breakfast and fellowship, we use the "Worship on the Way" devotion to review and discuss the Bible passages for the upcoming Sunday worship.

Old Testament Study
Review and expand on material covered in the "Walk Thru the Old Testament" seminar. Sessions include discussion and review of world history as the Old Testament events unfolded. The class meets Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall.

The Bible Workbench
Explore an in-depth reading of the Sunday Scriptures. This group will meet Sunday mornings beginning September 6, in the Social Hall.

Textual Criticism
A study of the New York Times bestseller, Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who changed the Bible and Why by Bart D. Ehrman. The book examines the history of how we got our New Testament. Meets Sunday mornings in the Adult Library.

Men's Study
Men of the church are invited to this study group that will meet Sunday mornings in Jill Goldhammer's Study.

"I Saw the Lord"
A Bible study of people's encounters with God from the Old and New Testaments, by Anne Graham Lotz. This class will meet Sunday mornings beginning September 6, in the Lounge.

Serendipity
This group meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Lounge, using questions from the Serendipity Bible to dig deeper into Scripture. No prior biblical knowledge in expected.

Thursday Morning Bible Study
This is a more in-depth Bible study group that studies one book of the Bible at a time. It meets weekly on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. in the third floor Catechetical classroom.
