The Salem Saints softball team plays in the Peoria Area Churchmen's Softball League each summer. Games start in mid-May and go though late August. Starting the first week of June, after each game, the team has a postgame get-together at a player's home. All players, their families, and church members are welcome to attend. The Saints are sponsored by the Salem Church Men.
The Salem Church Men are also part of a Church Basketball League. They play from mid-November through March on Tuesday evenings. All games are played at Northminster Presbyterian Church on North Knoxville Avenue. A cheering section is welcome.
