Adopt-A-School
Salem Lutheran Church and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School of Peoria Public Schools District #150 have entered into an Adopt-A-School partnership. The Adopt-A-School ministry involves members of Salem and all the students of TJ. We have become Pen-Pals with the third grade classes, reading helpers with Kindergarten through fourth graders and are currently planning an after-school program. Also, the Salem Family supports Thomas Jefferson with Box Tops for Education, food baskets for chosen families at Christmas, and lifting them in prayer. This is a wonderful program for Salem members and for the staff and students of Thomas Jefferson.
