Missions & Outreach
Peoria Alternative High School
Our Outreach Ministry Program at Salem is continually striving to create more "hands on" opportunities for our members to serve and help others. In recent years, we have become more involved at the Peoria Alternative High School. The staff at PAH is always encouraging volunteers to come help, so that students will have the opportunity to interact with other adults in the community who care about their success.
Salem members have provided and served special lunches to students and staff twice during the school year. These lunches and baked goods are a wonderful way for Salem to show the students that we appreciate their hard work in trying to achieve an education and that we appreciate all the dedication the staff has to these students.
The Hannah Circle has also created a Early Childhood Education class for young mothers enrolled at PAH. This spring class meets once a week at Salem to discuss a variety of issues related to parenting and child development. If you are able to help, or would like to know more about Salem’s involvement with the Peoria Alternative High School, please contact Heather MacIver Arnold, 282-7939. Thank you!
