Senior High
Kappa Chi (KX)

Kappa Chi (KX) or “Kids for Christ” is the high school ministry of Salem. Kappa Chi meets on Sunday mornings during Education Hour from 9:15-10:30 a.m. for Bible study, current events, and faith development. The group also meets once or twice each month during the school year for fellowship and community building activities, and service projects. In addition, Kappa Chi students assist in worship and enjoy weekend retreats and conference events throughout the year. They usually prepare for one major youth trip in the summer, which may include a national gathering, mission trip, or adventure trip. Some Kappa Chi students participate in a week-long summer program through the synod called Leadership Lab. Students share their gifts and use their leadership skills as they lead the congregation in worship one Sunday in February each year with the annual Kappa Chi Youth Service.
