Confirmation
Confirmation Retreat
Confirmation is for 6th through 8th grade students. The 6th grade meets on Sunday from 9:15-10:30 a.m., and studies worship practices and how these practices came to be a part of our services today. The study includes a catacombs worship experience, and leading a worship service at the end of the year.
The 7th and 8th grade study is individualized, meeting on Sunday from 9:15-10:30 a.m., and Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Students spend time studying parts of the Old and New Testaments, as well as the Three Creeds, Lutheran Heritage, and application through stewardship and evangelism. Adult volunteers discuss the material with the students at various times and spend time getting to know the students and share their faith with them. The study culminates in the Affirmation of Baptism service.
