RENEWING GOD’S HOUSE THROUGH LEARNING AND GROWING: Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.
As I thought about this verse, I thought of my mother who had taught Sunday School to third graders for 35 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bartonville.
Her devotion to teaching children was an inspiration to others. She felt that teaching children was the foundation they needed to be faithful and devoted members of a congregation.
In her later years, she liked being in the nursery and caring for very young children and infants. Her love for children and for God’s word sustained her to end of her life.
She loved to greet people with the words, “Well God Love ya.” She believed that God had loved her and that love needed to be shared with others. Her faith guided her throughout her life and inspired her family and friends to follow.
Dear Lord, Thank you for those you sent to inspire and teach us your love. May we grow and continue to inspire others in their faith.
