Employment
Faith Community Care Coordinator
Salem Lutheran Church is seeking a compassionate and organized Faith Community Care Coordinator to help strengthen the care and connection within our congregation and community. This part-time role (up to 20 hours per week) focuses on walking alongside individuals and families during times of need—offering support in moments of illness, crisis, or grief, while also building meaningful pathways to community and healthcare resources.
The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to coordinate care programs, volunteers, and health-related initiatives such as support groups and educational opportunities. This person will serve as a trusted bridge between the church, its members, and external care systems—ensuring that no one falls through the cracks.
If you are someone who is both deeply empathetic and highly organized—able to hold people’s stories with care while also managing details with precision—this is an opportunity to make a tangible, lasting impact in a faith-centered environment. Reach out to Gayle Young at gyoung9194@gmail.com or Deb Sanders at patdebsan@comcast.net if you are interested in this position.
