Parent Resources

At Salem Lutheran Preschool we believe that learning is fun! Throughout the school year, your child will have the opportunity to participate in various activities that are meant to inspire a love of learning as well as expose them to the vast resources we have available within the Peoria area.

Some of the exciting places our students visit include: Wildlife Prairie Park, Meadowbrook Veterinary Clinic, Fondulac Farm Park, Peoria Playhouse Museum, Peoria Riverfront Museum, Kindergarten Field Trip.

In addition, there are many opportunities for families to be involved including Classroom Helpers and Holiday Parties as well as events such as Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, and Community Helpers Week.

Snacks

Each family is requested to bring snacks for the class a few times each year. Sign up sheets will be available at our Back to School Parent’s Night in August each year. Please remember that all snacks must be store bought and brought in their original containers.
Also, please bring 100% fruit juice or milk on the days that you are signed up to bring snacks.

A few snack ideas include:

1. Yogurt
2. Pudding cups
3. Crackers
4. Cheese
5. Fresh fruits
6. Fresh vegetables/Dip
7. Pretzels
8. Popcorn (regular and flavored)
9. Vanilla wafers
10. Jell-O cups
